The widget does none of that because it touches none of those layers and only loads in the browser. The bot's knowledge is also built outside your code, from the pages you have published. A backend change or a framework migration therefore has nothing to do with whether the bot works. If you want the conversation inside your own interface rather than a ready-made widget, that is what the API path is for.
